Sediba Sa Rona
About Sediba Sa Rona
Sediba Sa Rona ('Our Source of Water') is the newest addition to Desert & Delta Safaris, positioned beneath a canopy of leadwood and fig trees overlooking the Khwai River and bordering Moremi Game Reserve. The lodge represents a visionary rebuild of the original Khwai River Lodge, maintaining the original footprint and 15-room capacity to minimize environmental impact. With 15 luxury tents, each featuring en-suite bathrooms and outdoor decks with stunning river views, the lodge offers spectacular wildlife viewing directly from your room. The Khwai Concession is known as 'The Meeting Point of Iconic Ecosystems,' hosting some of Botswana's largest concentrations of wildlife. The main areas feature multiple dining locations, a well-stocked bar, comfortable indoor lounges, outdoor viewing areas, a swimming pool with river views, and a spa offering certified wellness treatments. An open-air fire deck connected to the main area by a raised boardwalk provides a popular gathering spot overlooking the Khwai River.
Why we like it
A transformative partnership between Desert & Delta Safaris and Savanna Expeditions that honors Botswana's safari heritage while championing citizen involvement in tourism. The rebuild respects the original lodge footprint, the location at the meeting point of iconic ecosystems is unbeatable, and the diversity of activities—from mokoro excursions to night drives—is exceptional.
