San Camp lies in the vast expanse of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pan in Botswana, enveloped by a stark yet captivating landscape. The lodge features eight large canvas tents, elevated on wooden decks, which provide a sense of intimacy with the surrounding environment. Each tent is equipped with en-suite facilities, a private lounge area, and is carefully designed to maximize comfort while maintaining a connection to the wild. The interiors blend traditional safari decor with modern conveniences, including solar-powered lighting, and the absence of cellular reception enhances the sense of isolation. The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including herds of zebra and wildebeest that migrate through the landscape, as well as resident species like meerkats and springbok that can often be seen in their natural habitat. Elephant sightings are frequent, especially around seasonal water sources. Activities at San Camp include guided game drives and walking safaris that offer guests the chance to explore the unique flora and fauna of the salt pans. Additionally, cultural visits to nearby Bushmen communities provide insight into their ancestral traditions.
