King's Pool
About King's Pool
King's Pool is located in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in northern Botswana, overlooking a deep lagoon that serves as a primary water source for local fauna. The lodge consists of eight canvas-walled suites built on raised wooden platforms. Each suite includes a private deck with a plunge pool and views across the water. The Linyanti area is defined by mopane woodland and riverine forests, hosting significant populations of elephants, particularly during the dry season. Guests often observe lions, leopards, and African wild dogs within the private concession. The lodge organizes daily activities including guided game drives in open-air vehicles, nature walks led by professional trackers, and seasonal boat excursions on the Linyanti River. A subterranean viewing hide is accessible by a reinforced tunnel, allowing for close-range photography of wildlife at the water line. The main area features an open-plan lounge, a dining room, and an outdoor fire pit. The lodge operates entirely on solar power. Access is provided exclusively by light aircraft flights into the nearby airstrip, followed by a short road transfer.
