Ivory Lodge occupies a private concession bordering Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. The site overlooks an active watering hole, providing consistent views of elephant herds and diverse ungulates from the main deck and individual guest rooms. Accommodation consists of elevated treehouse-style platforms constructed from teak and canvas, featuring en suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, and private viewing decks. The main lodge area houses a dining room, bar, and fire pit area. Daily activities center on guided morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, conducted by experienced rangers who navigate the varied terrain of the concession and the neighboring park. Walking safaris are available, offering a detailed perspective on tracks, flora, and smaller fauna. Night drives focus on nocturnal species such as leopard, serval, and honey badger. All-day excursions into the heart of Hwange National Park are provided upon request. The lodge relies on solar power and maintains a low-density approach to guest numbers, ensuring quiet observation of the surrounding environment. Regional meals are prepared on-site, emphasizing fresh produce and local cooking techniques.
