Sosian Lodge
About Sosian Lodge
Nestled in the heart of a 24,000-acre private wildlife conservancy in Laikipia, Sosian Lodge is a restored colonial farmhouse that captures the spirit of traditional Kenyan safaris. The landscape is a diverse mosaic of high-altitude grasslands, rocky outcrops, and riverine forests, offering a home to diverse species, including the rare African wild dog and reticulated giraffe. Guests stay in comfortable, individual cottages that offer privacy and warmth. The experience here is refreshingly active; beyond standard game drives, visitors are encouraged to explore the bush on horseback, walking safaris, or camel treks. Evenings are spent on the veranda enjoying home-grown produce and reflecting on a day spent immersed in one of Kenya’s most ecologically significant and beautifully rugged wilderness areas.
Why we like it
The variety of activities is unmatched; it remains one of the few places where you can ride horses through big game country with genuine confidence in the guides.
